Running Sets price Increase
Due to the high cost of manufacture we
have had to increase the price of all running sets. The prices
on this web site or the catalog have not yet been updated. The
exception is that Type 22 1/96 and Type 23 1/96 on this web site
HAVE been updated. All prices will be adjusted asap. Please
e-mail for latest prices on running sets.
New forum/bulletin board
We have installed a forum/bulletin
board for customers and prospective customers. Here you can ask
questions about our products and building techniques. You can
also buy/sell/swap Fleetscale kits or completed boats. You will
have to register on the forum (username, password and e-mail
only) before you can view/post on the board.
Do bear in mind that the forum has just started so it will be a
little sparse with content. Please use it now, add some hints,
tips for others ask a question so we can build a community of
Fleetscale modellers. We will also add latest news to the forum
as well.

Price Increase in The New
Year
We have not increased our prices in 10
years on semi kits that have been in production since then.
Sometime in the New Year we will be increasing price
across the range. If you are thinking of buying a Fleetscale
semi kit now is the time to buy. Update:
prices are being updated on a piecemeal basis as we review the
web pages.
Problems With Customs
Australia joins the US as having a
problem with customs opening shipments and losing or trashing
fittings. The answer is to send the hulls separately from the
fittings. We can send the fittings and running sets by Royal
Mail (they don't interfere too much with the mail) in which case
the maximum compensation is £20 and the hulls via our normal
airfreight. Alternatively we could send fittings and running
sets via Parcel Force who have good compensation (£500) for
little extra cost. For instance fittings to Australia for approx
£30 inc insurance.
River Class
We now have now started to produce the
hulls and what a beautiful hull this is. The moulded detail is
superb - one of our best. Have a look
at these pictures. At 1/96 scale this will fit in nicely with
our Type 22, and 23 frigates. The length overall is 32.50"
and the beam is 5.50" approx. The hull is now
available to purchase online
with Jecobin plans price £85.00. A running set and
a full set
of fittings are also available.

Buying Online is Easy But Don't
Worry ...
... if you get an error message that
says there has been an internal server error. Our order acknowledgement
is not functioning at the moment. You will, however, receive an
acknowledgement e-mail from Netbanx which means that we
have received your order and it will be processed asap. We
hope to rectify this situation soon.
Don't Blame Fleetscale ...
.... if this web
site is slow as one person did in an abusive e-mail recently.
All our graphics have been optimised for max speed unlike many
other web sites. No, the answer is your internet service
provider (ISP) and the time of day. The other day I
found that Freeserve Anytime was impossibly slow at 11am on a
weekday morning. It was so slow that nothing appeared to be
happening when moving around the site. I logged off and then
immediately back on again with another ISP. The difference was
staggering. This web site was lightning fast (well almost) as it
should be. In normal times with good connections all pages
should load up in 5 - 10 seconds and not 1
- 2 minutes as can happen in bad times. Tip: Have
more than one ISP on your computer. If you are paying for free
internet access (that's a misnomer) it isn't much good if it
gets so overused at times that it almost grinds to a halt. Sign
up with another ISP (where you pay as you go) as a backup and
see the difference.

complex items come ready assembled as with our 1/96th scale
